Our vision is simple: At 42 Degrees we want your boating life to be fun and safe, and your pride and joy optimized to perform to perfection. Drawing on almost 40 years of experience, we offer in person and remotely:

  • Performance tuning and diagnostics

  • Electrical diagnostics

  • Corrosion management

  • Tuition (beginner and intermediate) in inshore and offshore environments

  • Online tutorials

  • Boat buying advice and surveys

  • Business consulting

Our aim is always that safety comes first for your boating adventures, and if we take a job and don’t succeed in our target, we don’t charge!

Big Ideas, Real Impact.

The Firefly Project is a newly launched idea to promote inclusivity within the boating community, and is named in honor of Xavier, my son and inspiration every day.

He lived his life until he was taken away with love and with empathy, and with 42 Degree as the principle sponsor we intend to usher in a new approach to boating - one of love, care and inclusion.

We will be rebuilding a boat named in his honor, with the intention that anyone and everyone are welcome to take part. To share, to learn, to just be a part of the project in any way you want. We will also be welcoming volunteers from disadvantaged youth and helping to form a pathway of self-respect and care along with some skills.

It’s exactly what Xave would have wanted.

We will also be running a series of boat handling clinics for folks new to the boat scene, covering all the basic skills you need to stay safe on the water. These will be scheduled across each major city in Australia over the coming year, and will be entirely free of charge. Dates and locations will be posted through the 42 Facebook page at regular intervals.

Sharing and learning is what keeps us safe and happy, and these clinics will be a celebration not only of the boating lifestyle, but of Xave as well.

He never left anyone behind, nor will we.
